Eva Sahatdjian

IMG 2616 283x300 Eva SahatdjianEva Sahatdjian is a physical therapist at our Eastlake location. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University in 2012, where she was a catcher on the Division I women’s softball team. She completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from San Diego State in 2015, as part of the inaugural DPT class. Eva has interned and worked in numerous orthopedic outpatient settings, gaining experience with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries. Her special interests are working with athletes and post-op shoulder, knee, and ankle rehab. As a former Division I collegiate softball player, Eva has always had a strong passion for sports medicine, sports psychology, and strength and conditioning. She enjoys working with athletes ranging from high school to Olympic level on their rehab and incorporating these aspects in conjunction with proper body mechanics and efficient movement patterns in order to maximize their full potential while reducing risk of re-injury.

Sahatdjian’s professional strengths include utilizing various manual therapy techniques such as myofascial release, myofascial decompression cupping techniques, pin and stretch, active muscle pumping, and PNF. She also implements  individualized therapeutic exercise programs focused on sport- specific exercises, work-specific exercises, and injury prevention. Eva is passionate about ensuring each patient gets quality care to help relieve pain, improve function, and enable individuals to live and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

Aside from being a clinician, Eva has co-authored research papers on injury patterns and risk factors in high school and collegiate softball players, which have been presented at multiple physical therapy conferences. Eva is passionate and motivated to continuously further her knowledge and experience in orthopedic and sports-related rehabilitation, and plans to work towards advanced certifications. Eva resides in San Diego and enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, boxing, hiking, and paddle boarding.
