Michael Stein, PT, MOMT opened Manual Orthopedic Physical Therapy Inc. in 2002. His vision was to open a clinic where patient care would always be the priority, by using the science and art of physical therapy to help patients return to their highest functioning level possible.

As the president and owner of Manual Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Inc., Mike received his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from California State University, Long Beach in 1987. He completed his master’s degree in orthopedic manual therapy from the Ola Grimsby Institute in 1995 and completed an additional two years of residency with OGI in 1997.

With over 30 years experience in orthopedic and sports injuries, Mike has treated many professional and Olympic athletes, as well as high school and recreational athletes. His patients include people of all ages and with all types of orthopedic conditions including pre and post- operative care, overuse, extremity and spine injuries, and occupational injuries.

As adjunct faculty for the San Diego State University Physical Therapy program Mike enjoys mentoring physical therapy students in sports medicine.

Mike Stein is a founding board member of the Southwest Sports Wellness Foundation. The foundation provides medical care through free injury clinics and pre participation athletic screenings for high school students, and also educating health care professionals and students in sports medicine. He also spends time volunteering for Southwestern College athletic program. In the past he has treated athletes at the US Olympic Training center in Chula Vista.

Mike lives in San Diego, is happily married and is the proud father of three daughters and has one grandson. He enjoys spending time with his family exploring the outdoors and mountain biking. He also enjoys spending time in Montana skiing and fly-fishing.
