MOPT 300x290 Home

Manual Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Inc. (MOPT) is a Physical Therapist owned private practice in which the three owners, Michael Stein, Joe Bailey, & Curtis Hill, have cumulatively over 70 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy.

We opened in 2002 with the goal of providing the highest quality of therapy while treating each patient as an individual. We want the entire experience at MOPT to be a positive one.

MOPT utilizes the science and art of physical therapy to provide a comprehensive and individualized approach to patients, focusing on function and education.

MOPT empowers the patient to achieve the highest level of function possible in a professional and friendly environment.

MOPT differs from the rest because we provide a comprehensive approach to patient care:

  • Each patient gets 60 minutes one-on-one with the physical therapist on their initial evaluation.
  • Each subsequent visit is 30 minutes one-on-one with the physical therapist followed by an individualized therapeutic exercise program.
  • Each visit is tailored to assist the patient in achieving the highest level of function possible.

Being part of and giving back to our community is important to MOPT.  Since 2002 we have been involved with SDSMF and SWSWF in providing injury clinics and participate in pre-participation sports screenings.

Every Saturday morning during the football season we host injury clinics at our Eastlake office.  The purpose of the no cost injury clinics is to provide a location where all Sweetwater Union High School District athletes can access healthcare quickly to obtain an initial evaluation of their injury. An assessment will be performed by an athletic trainer, physical therapist, and/or physician at no charge. The goal is to provide a specialized sports medicine injury assessment to diagnose and treat the student athletes and return them to sports safely and in a timely manner. The athlete’s well-being and proper rehabilitation is the up most priority for the SWSWF.

The annual pre-participation sports screening assessments/exams (PPE) are offered to every athlete in the Sweetwater Union High School District at a low cost. All student athletes are required to have a physical exam before they can participate in sports or co-curricular activities each school year.
